The Avon Valley Inn, a well-known country pub and bistro located in Gloucester, NSW, is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented team, influence the menu, and showcase your culinary creativity in a supportive and welcoming regional environment.
✅ About the Role:
Full-time Head Chef position – leadership role
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including rostering and stock control
Design and develop seasonal menus and daily specials
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Ensure kitchen compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Mentor and train junior kitchen staff

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a fast-paced kitchen
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passionate about fresh, pub-style cuisine with a creative flair
Able to manage budgets, suppliers, and stock effectively
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or higher)
